Chinese Numerology

The Personality test program is based on Chinese Numerology, and the interpretation of birth date numbers using the Lo Shu Grid.  To understand how this works, the birth date of the late Princess Diana has been set into the grid below in accordance with the Western interpretation.  The Chinese interpretation is printed below the Western version on this page using the Princess's equivalent lunar birth date numbers in that grid, (but in different positions).

Based on her birth date numbers (and those she lacked) the following comments about Princess Diana are revealed by Chinese Numerology:

 111
People with three 1s often make good entertainers, but at heart they tend to be introspective.  The oxygen of publicity overcomes the inwardly looking.
2
Those without a 2 are inclined to be impatient.  Rather than admit to their many mistakes, they are likely to try and justify what they have done.
3
Someone without a 3 lacks confidence.  Often self-effacing, they tend to be apologetic.
4
Princess Diana lacked a 4, and was thus somewhat disorganised.  She probably found the daily routine of life rather irksome.
5
Without a 5 in her chart, the Princess needed to be motivated by others.  She found it difficult to establish and pursue a single aim to the exclusion of all else.
6
Those with one 6 love their home and family, but they worry unduly about divorce, separation or widowhood.
7
Someone with a single 7 in their chart will learn life's lessons through loss – either of possessions, or of those they love.  As a result they may later be drawn to spiritual or alternative philosophy.
8
Lacking an 8 in her chart, Princess Diana was likely to have handled financial matters badly, and was often careless.  She probably trusted others more than they deserved.
9
A single 9 represents ambition, tempered with humanitarian ideals.  Her charitable work with AIDS sufferers, and her efforts to rid the world of unexploded mines demonstrates her humanitarian credentials.
2 5 8 Lacking the numbers 2, 5 and 8 (the arrow of Emotional Sensitivity) made the Princess acutely sensitive, and easily hurt.  Given that she suffered in childhood from her parents' divorce, a natural shyness led to an inferiority complex that never left her.

Three numbers in a row – horizontally, vertically, or diagonally – are known as Arrows.  In the Personality test program green arrows represent positive characteristics, and red arrows (lacking 3 numbers in a row) represent somewhat negative characteristics.  These 'arrow' groupings are of particular importance in any chart.

Based on her lunar birth date numbers (and those she lacked) the following comments about Princess Diana are revealed by the Chinese interpretation of the Lo Shu Grid:

 111
People with three 1s often enjoy happy and contented lives based upon financial security.  They are said to be lucky, and to have married the heir to the British throne could well be regarded as 'lucky'.
2
Those without a 2 enjoy a reasonably high energy level, but will lack intellectual dexterity – particularly if the number 4 is missing as well.
3
Someone without a 3 can become competitive.  But they lack sensitivity and those intuitive powers that can keep them out of trouble.
4
Princess Diana lacked a 4, and the intellectual capacity with which that number is associated.  The results of her public examinations were not encouraging.
5
With a single 5 in her chart, the Princess had the inner strength to handle the difficult times that characterised her later married life.  She found the enthusiasm to support many worthwhile charitable ventures – a challenge that she clearly enjoyed.
6
Those with one 6 love their home and family, but often devote time and effort to helping those who are less fortunate than they.
7
Princess Diana lacked a 7 in her chart and with it a lack of conviction in spiritual matters.  She was unable to draw upon extra reserves from a faith or religion to help her through the difficult times.
8
Without an 8 in her chart, Princess Diana was someone who lacked attention to detail.  Although financially secure, she was neither materialistic, nor ruthlessly efficient in the pursuit of money or property.
99
Two 9s represent a willingness to learn and an active intellect.  It meant she was idealistic, particularly in relation to humanitarian projects, with the ambition to pursue her charitable aims.
1 5 9 With the numbers 1, 5 and 9 (the arrow of Willpower) the Princess was very determined and rather stubborn.  She did everything possible to win back her husband's affections.
3 4 8 Without the numbers 3, 4 and 8 (the arrow of Confusion) the Princess was unlikely to have developed any long term plans.  Even if she had, such plans would have been scuppered before completion.  Determination was not matched by logic.
