World Forecast 2130 to 4300
Forecast for 2130 - 4300; The age of Aquarius (the water bearer).
In the Western calendar the years after the crucifiction of Christ are denoted by AD (After death) and the years before that major event as BC (Before Christ). Now whether or not you believe that Christ was the Son of God, the fact is that his life (and death) over 2000 years ago ushered in a completely new era - which astrologers call The Age of Pisces. An 'age' lasts a little over 2000 years, so we are now slowly entering the next 'age' - the Age of Aquarius.
The 2000 year 'age' that ended with Christ's birth and death was The Age of Aries (the Ram) and the symbolism of that age - the sacrificial lamb - was replaced by Christ with his 12 apostles - fishermen who became 'fishers of men', and who ushered in the age of the two fish swimming in opposite directions - the Age of Pisces. The contrast between the two 'ages' is striking; With Aries it was accepted that the 'me first' egotistic approach of Kings and military leaders entitled them to the spoils of victory - that the use of force was a perfectly legitimate means of securing power and wealth.
The 'age' of Pisces ushered in a period of contradiction - with the two fish swimming in opposite directions. One direction accommodated the continued use of force - the other introduced love and care as the legitimate responsibility of all - including of course our rulers.
Now we are approaching a new 'age' - the Age of Aquarius - the humanitarian sign of the Zodiac. Just as the Age of Pisces was ushered in over the 33 years of Christ's life and the early work of his 12 apostles, so the arrival of the Age of Aquarius will also take a few years. The first indication of the shift occured in the 1990s - when the British government sent fully armed Royal Marines to Northern Iraq (then controlled by Sadam Hussein) to feed starving Kurds. (Imagine his incredulity if you had suggested to Napoleon Bonaparte that he send his finest troops to some far off country with the sole purpose of feeding thousands of people who had absolutely no connection with France) This was followed by the invasion of the Balkans by an international coalition of troops whose motives were again entirely humanitarian. But when the invasion of Iraq appeared to have motives beyond the humanitarian, world opinion was critical.
Aquarius is not only a global humanitarian sign, but also the sign of electrical energy and curiosity. We are entering a period of unusual invention - of ideas that will promote our general well being at the expence of individual gain. The recent turmoil in financial markets represents the gradual closing of an era in which business conducted their enterprise to the sole benefit of their owners. Aquarius will operate to the common good - of planet Earth and all her constituent parts. Life giving water will (in time) be distributed to all who need it.
Global ecological considerations (very Aquarian) will continue to dominate international and domestic debate over the next 2300 years. And remember, the world has changed just as profoundly as it did 2000 years ago. Expect an increase in the jurisdiction of the International Court at the Hague to cover countries that never contemplated that their leaders would be subject to external sanction. In time no national leader will escape penalty for selfish acts in total disregard for the interests of the population they rule.
Expect also the end to democratic structures that allow the winner to take all. Aquarius is not interested in the power games that dominated the age of Aries and the age of Pisces - whether those power struggles were military, theocratic or democratic. Mr Obama seeks to articulate the age of Aquarius, in sharp contrast to Mr McCain who spoke the language of the age of Pisces. It is the Aquarian argument that will in future prevail.
